DELTA®-DRY Ventilated Rainscreen - ZEBRAlliance Research HouseZEBRAlliance, Zero Energy Building Research Alliance, is both a public-private research project and a multi-faceted energy-efficiency education campaign. The founders of the alliance include Schaad Construction and Oak Ridge National Laboratory along with Tennessee Valley Authority, the Department of Energy, BarberMcMurry Architects and many industry partners.
The ZEBRAlliance currently has 4 energy efficient homes under construction in the Wolf Creek Subdivision located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The project includes 2-year acquisition of hygro-thermal data and is managed by the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the US Department of Energy.
The pictures below show the installation of DELTA®-DRY on one of the research houses. DELTA®-DRY was installed as ventilated rainscreen over ZIP-panels with an 'integrated' water resistive barrier (green coating on OSB with taped seams).
